Today, I would like to share the inspirational story of two amazing women! I had the pleasure of photographing them during one of their training sessions and I’ve seen first hand how truly dedicated they are! They aren’t only dedicated in bettering themselves, but the lives and well-being of others.

The first word that came to mind when I began writing about these women is “INSPIRE.” I knew the general meaning of the word, but when I looked up the actual definition I was certain that this was THE word to describe them!

Meet Tanzy!

1002806_428030267304629_872025470_n“I had always been an active and healthy young person. Had always competed in team sports and always had a smile on my face. But one day, something changed. The pressures of everyday life started to take a toll on me. Before I could realize what was happening I was burdened by depression, lost my drive and ambition and ballooned to 220lbs.

In 2012 I became tired of the dark cloud over my head and tired of living a life that was mediocre at best. God revealed that He had more in store for me. He also revealed that I cannot climb Mount Everest alone! I tried to lose weight by myself. I shut my husband, family and friends out! Finally it clicked. If I was going to regain my strength I need a strong support system.

I first opened up to my husband and finally accepted his help. Then I admitted my struggle to my parents. Together we came up with a weight loss solution that I was willing to try. For the first time in years of trying… I started to see results. Slowly but steadily the weight started coming off.

It wasn’t only the change in my body that amazed me, it was the change in my attitude and confidence level. I started approaching challenges with more faith and less fear. I found myself smiling more, interacting with people more freely. I was a better mom, wife and friend simply because I was able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I finally saw that I didn’t have to live with that dark cloud over my head.

The victory that God has given me is not only about pounds and clothing sizes, rather its about reclaiming the power, strength, joy and peace the I allowed the enemy to take from me.
I’m half way through my health journey (50lbs lost). My life was created and is governed by the sovereign God therefore I will have the victory in this area of my life. Failure is not an option!”

Tanzy is happily married to Damian and together they have 3 spirit filled kids. “My husband Damian has been my biggest supporter and best friend. His faith in God and faith in me keep me pressing on in the journey”

Meet Natalie!

“One year and 4 months ago I started my life long journey of health and wellness. I decided on days leading up to that day that I had to reclaim my life, my destiny, my health and well-being. I knew I wasn’t happy with what I felt like, looked like and I knew that I wouldn’t be able to give my family what they needed if I didn’t have it in myself. I needed God and I learned through this journey more of who He really is; loving, merciful, healing, faithful, and most importantly He has become my friend! I urge my FB family that if there is anything you fear, anything you stand in need of He can do it and it will and can become a ripple affect in the lives of those you love. I didn’t know last September that this would be a spiritual journey but it’s been more that for me than physical! I testify because I know someone out there is ready to start something and You, with the help of the enemy are the only ones holding you back! Go on, take the leap of Faith…Jump forward towards the things you once only dreamed of being and start making it your reality in Him!!
