Newborn Photography has to be one of the most rewarding types of photography that I do. It’s so neat to see how in love parents are with this new life they’ve created.

Newborn Photography-Madison, AL

I absolutely adore newborn photography!!! Capturing those first moments in a babies life is absolutely amazing to me. I love how squishy and curled up these little bundles are in the first couple weeks of life.

Sweet, sweet Ethan, pictured here was less than a week old when he came to visit me at the studio. He was the perfect little model for his session!

For each newborn session I create a few custom pieces to photograph the baby in. Pictured above you can see an adorable pants and bow tie set that I constructed out of my daughter’s old shirt!

Did I mention how much I LOVE sleepy babies?!? I am so happy that I was able to snap a shot of Ethan’s yawn-too, too cute!

Now don’t get me started on tiny toes-they are my absolute favorite thing to capture.

This final shot is one of my favorites-Ethan looks so content all snuggled up in Mommy and Daddy’s arms.

Paige – Class of 2014

I know that I go on and on about how much I love where we live, but I think the best thing about this place is all of the amazing friends I’ve made. I am so thankful for them and the fact that they trust in me to capture their family’s most cherished memories!

Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing my friend, Marlec’s daughter for her senior portraits. We had so much fun walking around downtown Huntsville finding cool new spots. Paige is a traditional southern girl with a relaxed yet fun personality.

Miss Paige is a true beauty & I think you’ll agree when you see the images below!

Meet the Little Family!

Last weekend I had a blast shooting this mini session. For anyone looking to book a session where a toddler is involved, I highly recommend a 30 minute session! This is a perfect example of what a downtown Madison Mini Session looks like. In a short 30 minutes we were able to get a nice variety of images from various locations, all in the span of one city block! This is yet another reason why I love my town!

We’ve watched this little guy grow from a preemie to a toddler and boy has he changed. He has grown from a teeny tiny little baby into a full size toddler! He is pretty much the same size as my Benham, who is over half a year older! Now, this isn’t saying much considering the height difference in their Daddies, but still pretty darn cool!

I recently had the pleasure of photographing a gorgeous girl, Morgan! Her parents bought this photo shoot as her birthday present and I think it was well worth it. I had a blast and I know she did too!

This rusted old building was the perfect backdrop for this sweet girl. Her soft beauty really stands out beside this old thing.

I told you she was gorgeous!

Outfit and location changes  from this full session gave her a variety of images to choose from. I think she not only looked like a model but she really felt like one too!

This girl can dance! She was absolutely stunning in her recital costume, especially against this old concrete slab.

She can sing too! Although it was hard to focus on shooting while she sang Adelle to me in her sweet voice, i was able to capture this vision I had in my head! A girl in a field with nothing but her music (and me I guess!)

Morgan conquered both of our fears by climbing up onto this bad boy! I’ve been eyeballing this fallen tree for some time and I’m so glad that my daring model was willing to climb up on it!

Thank you for such an amazing session-I had a blast!

I am officially a coach’s wife today! Last night, Glenn played his final game and we couldn’t have asked for a better ending. The team did fabulous and had a great win. I was able to get up close and get some great shots and along with another photographer, Richard Perigo, I think we really captured the essence of the night. Speaking to Glenn after the game, he said “the only way it could have been more perfect were if my parents were here.” Under the circumstances this was not a possibility, but thank goodness for technology, because they were able to view online, along with many other family and friends!

He was all smiles before the game! I’m so happy he decided to warm up without his helmet this one time 🙂

Doing a little puck-juggling or whatever you call it before the game. (I think he was showing off for the photographer!)

Minutes before his last shift. I’ve always loved images like this, from behind the bench.

Glenn’s last shift 🙁

A big thank you to the fans, not only from this team but from every other team we’ve been a part of!

If this face doesn’t say “bittersweet” I don’t know what it says! In the last 2 days Glenn’s been asked numerous times how he feels and if he is sad…this is his response to that, “I’m in a unique situation, where I get to come back to the rink the next day with the same team/group of guys, I’m not leaving, so that makes it easier.” If someone asked me to say how he feels in one word I would say, “excited!”

Upon asking some of the guys what they think about Glenn’s change from player to coach, the majority of the responses went something like this, “we’re losing one of our best players, but I think he’ll be a great coach.”

As soon as I took this photo I said, “your mom is going to love this one!” My handsome husband 🙂

“Daddy, why don’t you want to play hockey anymore?” said Ebba after the game. (I was doing pretty good until this!)

Watching the slideshow after the game. As Glenn said, “very few guys are lucky enough to have something like this to celebrate their last game-it was awesome!” (Thank you to everyone who helped me gather images on such short notice and thanks to Keith for putting it all together.)

The screen says it all, “Thanks for the Memories”

We are so proud of Glenn/Daddy and we are looking forward to this next adventure as the Coach’s family!

“Hanging them up”

(I can’t thank Richard enough for capturing this for me-I had this vision and he nailed it.)
